Led by the Waverly Flower Co. Creative Director for weddings + events, Morgan Feher, this three-hour intensive course will teach participants everything they need to know to confidently build stunning floral installations that feel organic, abundant, and playful, including:
How to source the best varieties for whimsical, playful floral design work (especially locally-grown flowers from April-October)
Creating a stable base that keeps flowers hydrated and in-place, using only compostable or recyclable/reusable mechanics
The detailed, step-by-step process of creating dynamic arrangements with unique shape and movement
How to keep your flowers fresh and longer-lasting, including practical tips for floral event work, and our recommended timelines for when to create pieces for special events
A professional photographer will join us in the studio to take individual photos of each arrangement for each participant to use in their own portfolios, websites, and social media.
This course is accessible for beginners, but especially tailored to budding designers and floral hobbyists wishing to further develop their skillset, and experienced professionals interested in learning more about traditional foam-free mechanics and working with locally-grown flowers. Locally-grown flowers will be prioritized and No traditional floral foam will be used and only compostable or reusable/recyclable mechanics will be utilized.
