Flower gardening began as a light-hearted postpartum hobby during the early days of Covid. It’s even more enjoyable now that my two little ones are old enough to help plant seeds and eagerly toddle out each morning to check for any new growth.

In the spring of 2022, after we expanded our backyard’s cut flower area (four different times - whew!) and planted thousands of seedlings and perennials, it became evident that I’d have more blooms than my family would ever personally want or need.

The prospect of sharing bouquets and arrangements with loved ones and the community excited me, so I spent a lot of time educating myself about the cut flower industry. It was upsetting to learn about the harmful practices that are so widely used by commercial flower growers (more on that here) but it also inspired me to create new ways to grow beautiful plants that are better for our environment and our health.

Since then, we’ve grown - literally and figuratively! - to providing dozens of wedding and special event clients with our flowers.

Outside of the flower world, I am a mental health doc but taking a break from the healthcare field to focus on raising my two children. You’ll often find us at one of Harleysville’s many parks or playgrounds, or running around in the gardens!
